Not really a surprise but a lot of folks found the Locals Only Stage today. Rightfully so, cause as Cancelled took the stage and crowds gathered one of today’s most vibrant Dutch acts kicked teeth. Their Il Nino, Machine Head-like kick butt metal worked like a fist in the eye. Professional, great communication with the audience, a party. Not strange, knowing these guys have been active in Holland’s metal underground for years, kicking it in with bands like Mac-11 and Bloodsessions. Now, their music may not be the most original - actually quite predictable - but it works if done the right way. The Cancelled way; raging energy, tight performance, very nice. The crowd responded very well, they had no choice. The band’s presentation is not only professional; it’s most of all very infectious.
